Pre-meeting concerning Incident #11-8931
Chair Martin Haspel called the meeting to order at 6:00p.m.
Attending: Martin Haspel, Kerry Reid, William O'Shea, Joanne Baldauf, ACO Diana Back

ACO Diana Back presented background Information regarding the incident to be discussed and past history of activity concerning Ms. Foley.
The Committee agreed that the Chair would advise the 6:30p.m.meeting of the charge of the AAC and the role of the Board of Selectmen In soliciting our advice. It was to be noted that the BOS may or may not follow our recommendations.
Officer Back noted that the actual complaint concerned 2 German shepherds who were involved in a biting Incident with an elderly woman.
The general consensus was that this long-standing problem covering years 1991- 2011 revolved around two Issues:
1. Responsible dog ownership- compliance w/dog laws
2. Dog behavior ·
ACO Back noted that the owner had, in the past, been requested to keep the dogs on their own property. Off-property the dogs were to be on-leash or under immediate and effective voice control
The meeting adjourned at 6:15p.m.
